AMAZON RADIO Script

At Next Gen, I wrote some scripts for Amazon. Specifically about Prime Radio becoming Prime Young Adult.

Here’s the one that they went with:

FIGURED IT OUT

SCRIPT + SFX/ANNCR CALLS

VO: They say your 20s are for figuring it out, but we already did that for you. If you’re a 19-24 year old Canadian, you can get Prime Canada Young Adult free for six months. That means two-day shipping, Prime Video, exclusive deals, photo storage, music, groceries, lightning deals, and ordering a portable bidet on Tuesday and being more hygienic Thursday, all for the low cost of nothing. Growing up has its benefits.

SCRIPT + SFX/ANNCR CALLS

VO: There’s a lot of heartbreak in your youth, some you caused, most you didn’t. Why don’t we show up at your door with the boombox

SFX: Doorbell rings

VO: So you can show up at hers with one.

SFX: Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" starts playing

Amazon Prime Young Adult gives you six months free, fast shipping, Prime Video, and everything you need to win them back.

Here’s the ones that I liked better:

SCRIPT + SFX/ANNCR CALLS

VO (F) — fast-talking, slightly nervous energy like she’s calling you from a parking lot:

Okay, so, super weird, but I just heard Jeff Bezos is kinda... mad at you?

I don’t know the whole story, but it sounds like you haven’t signed up for Amazon Prime yet? If I were you, and between the ages of 19 and 24, I’d just smooth it over.

It’s literally free for six months. Two-day shipping, Prime Video, all that. And like… I don’t want to put more on your plate, but I did hear he is like not human or something.
So… just take care of that asap.
Okay? Okay. Talk soon.
