FX came to Wasserman wanting to school old and new fans on why Season 2 is can’t miss TV. Our answer was to school them where they can’t miss it.

Take another look

The mistakes didn’t stop when school did. You’ve just stopped noticing. Misused words. Empty claims. Grammar crimes. They’re all around you.

Taking our voice to the streets, we’re rewriting the everyday with classic teacher feedback. Once you see the mistake, you can’t unsee it. Because as we know, life’s best lessons happen outside of the classroom. Class is in session. And apparently, the whole city needs extra help.

To launch Season 2 of The English Teacher, we’re bringing the classic symbol of correction, the red pen, into the real world. Street signs, menus, billboards, public spaces, and cultural messages will all get the treatment. Just like a brutally honest teacher grading an essay, we’ll mark up society’s worst run-ons, bad takes, and vague slogans with handwritten corrections, margin notes, and snarky feedback.

To draw attention, we’ll deploy a roaming street team of performers dressed as exaggerated, over-it English teachers: elbow patches, clipboards, red pens in hand. They’ve got one mission: correct the world in real time. And make some noise doing it.
